Swan × Coremont / Executive brief & business case

Coremont's GTM engine.
Institutionalized.

Keep the specialized intelligence and messaging you've already built. Replace the operational burden around it with a governed, signal-led system the entire sales team can run.

01 / The decision

A working prototype, hitting a scaling constraint.

Alex has spent four months building a targeted prospecting system in Claude Code. It combines Coremont's proprietary product knowledge, Confluence, HubSpot, specialist hedge-fund intelligence and contact data. Three skills research funds, map decision-makers and generate tailored outreach.

7 sellers

Pursuing a narrow, global hedge-fund market

60–100

Email drafts Alex described receiving each morning; not a team-wide performance metric

~$25K

Approximate ZoomInfo spend cited on the call; annual basis and invoice to confirm

The bottleneck is not message quality. Alex described the existing messages as highly specific and effective. It is earlier signal discovery, reliable delivery and cohesive orchestration, with a quota-carrying seller also acting as the system's sole administrator.

The investment case: preserve Coremont's domain expertise, replace eligible duplicate spend and return selling time, then extend AI agents across the sales cycle. A broadly cost-neutral data-replacement case creates room for seller productivity and revenue upside.

02 / Business value

Four levers.

  • 1. Avoid eligible subscription spend.Alex identified ZoomInfo non-renewal as a major source of value. Validate fund/contact coverage, enrichment quality and intent requirements before retiring anything. Keep specialist With Intelligence data where it remains necessary.
  • 2. Recover seller capacity.Reduce integration troubleshooting, draft handling and orchestration work. Alex said system management takes a significant part of his day, but no hours baseline was supplied. Recovered time is capacity—not a cash saving unless actual cost is removed.
  • 3. Improve the chance of reaching the right fund early.Prioritize chief risk officer and other relevant people moves, new fund launches (filtering away from long-short equity funds) and prime-brokerage changes. Protect the scarce target market: focus on strategies suited to Coremont's complex-derivatives strengths, not all funds as a blanket. SEC filings remain useful research, but Alex noted they can arrive after infrastructure choices are made. Measure qualified conversations and signal freshness—not raw send counts.
  • 4. Deploy AI agents for GTM, far beyond outbound prospecting.Activate inbound interest with qualification, enrichment and routing. Improve sales execution with meeting prep, post-call execution agents, CRM updates and personalized follow-ups. Put the right collateral in front of the buyer at the right moment, generate custom deal rooms and re-engage closed-lost opportunities when relevant signals change. Prioritize these use cases with Coremont as the engine matures.

The outsourced agency was already slated for cancellation because results were disappointing. Its unspecified fee is excluded: Swan should not claim savings from a decision Coremont had already made.

03 / The economics

Cost neutral, but with clear seller productivity & revenue upside.

The updated proposed investment is $20,312, including seven seats, the platform, a 60,000-credit pool and AIxGTM enablement for the 90-day deployment.

Line itemAmount / allocation
Total seats7
Platform fee$1,668
Bulk credit pool60,000
Cost per credit$0.1280
Credit fees$7,680
AIxGTM enablement$10,964
Total cost$20,312

ZoomInfo replacement makes this broadly cost neutral. Against the approximately $25,000 subscription spend Alex cited, the $20,312 proposed total is $4,688 lower if the subscription can be fully replaced for a comparable period. Confirm coverage, the annual renewal amount and any retained or incremental costs; the call figure is approximate, not a verified invoice.

The upside goes beyond replacing a data bill. Less system administration and manual follow-through create more selling capacity. Faster inbound activation, better preparation, consistent follow-ups and signal-led re-engagement create additional routes to pipeline. The Utila and Elastic Path results below demonstrate that potential—not a guaranteed Coremont outcome.

Timing matters. Alex said ZoomInfo had been extended through the end of 2026. Deploying Swan now allows Coremont to be live and in production, start seeing results and validate replacement coverage before that renewal date arrives. This is a future non-renewal opportunity, not an immediate refund of committed spend.

04 / The operating model

Preserve the expertise. Change the execution.

What stays

  • Coremont's product truthProprietary MCP/product knowledge and Confluence remain the foundation for technically accurate messaging.
  • The three existing skillsPort fund research, decision-maker mapping and persona/strategy-specific outreach. Compare outputs against Alex's approved examples.
  • Specialist intelligence & HubSpotRetain With Intelligence through its API, subject to access and integration validation. Keep HubSpot as the account and activity system of record.

What changes

  • Continuous, relevant signal detectionTest people moves and fund-level triggers for timeliness, fit and incremental coverage over the current system.
  • Sequencing instead of draft assemblyMove scheduling, approved outreach and reply handling into one execution flow. Start with review gates and agreed stop/suppression rules.
  • Shared operation, less dependency on AlexDocument routing, account ownership, failure handling and workflow changes so seven sellers do not depend on one administrator.
  • AI agents for other GTM use casesExtend the shared context into inbound qualification and routing, meeting briefs with attendee and CRM intelligence, post-call CRM updates and next steps, personalized follow-ups, timely collateral and custom deal rooms. Add signal-led closed-lost re-engagement where appropriate, with agreed review gates.

Deliverability is a workstream, not a guarantee. Swan's partner network can support domains, inbox warming and sending infrastructure; agree scope and cost separately. A sequencer alone will not repair an abused domain.

05 / Customer evidence

Proof of capability. Not a Coremont forecast.

Utila

Digital-asset infrastructure company using a shared GTM context layer across Sales, CS and Growth Marketing, with HubSpot in its stack.

$1.8M

Swan-attributed pipeline in the first four months

3×

Opportunity conversion versus its prior outbound efforts

Pre-event reply rates reached 27%, up from 10%. Swan also removed manual event-follow-up administration.

Why it matters here: evidence that shared account context can support personalized outreach and coordinated execution in a specialized financial-technology market.

Elastic Path

B2B commerce company connecting signals and personalized outreach across Marketing, Sales and Customer Success, including re-engagement of closed-lost accounts.

+20%

Pipeline generation in its first full quarter of Swan usage

90%

Of outbound processes automated

Over 50% of closed-won deals were influenced by Swan signals and outreach. Influence is not the same as exclusively Swan-sourced revenue.

Why it matters here: evidence that automation can extend beyond net-new prospecting to relationship-aware re-engagement, without adding disconnected workflows.

06 / Deployment & measurement

Live in 14 days. Owned by day 90.

The proposal targets an initial campaign live in two weeks and a documented, team-owned engine by day 90. Treat that as a deployment target after required access and security approval—not an unconditional guarantee.

Day 0–7 / Foundation

Set the baseline

Confirm fund/persona fit, account ownership, integrations, approved messaging and security requirements. Establish spend, time and delivery baselines.

Day 7–14 / Launch

Prove the first workflow

Port the existing skills, validate enrichment and launch a reviewed signal-based campaign. Verify HubSpot writes and stop rules.

Day 14–45 / Iterate

Test incremental value

Compare signals and outreach with the current system. Prioritize additional inbound and sales-execution agents from observed gaps, then iterate on the workflows with the team.

Day 45–90 / Handoff

Make the engine team-owned

Train the team, document workflows and ownership, and review evidence against agreed criteria. Hand over the engine by day 90; confirm replacement coverage and renewal economics before removing a provider.

Agree numerical thresholds together before launch. Coremont's account values, win rates, sales cycle and current conversion baseline were not supplied. Do not set a borrowed meeting target or assume closed-won revenue within 90 days. Pipeline is upside to validate, not cash counted in the subscription case.
